Actually, Ottawa VO is known to be slower than other VO don’t worry. When did you get your pre arrival letter and DM?

We got a Decision Made update on ECAS. I'm not exactly sure when it was updated, but it must have been within the last two days since we submitted an additional document which was received on 9 Apr 2021.

Here are some more details in case anyone is interested / curious -
We received pre-arrival letter on 28 Mar 2021 and we were waiting a couple days to see if a Decision Made status would appear on ECAS. It didn't so I went to check some threads + signatures and I saw some folks who were getting pre-arrival and decision made either on the same day or the day after each other. I'm certainly not saying this is always the case, but that's what I gathered after doing a quick scan out of just a handful of people. For those who didn't get a DM yet... they received an additional documents request so we started mentally preparing to receive this. That's exactly what ended up happening and we were asked to submit an additional police certificate. We included one in our application package back in July 2020, but apparently Italy requires two different types of police check documents. Fortunately we were able to get this done within the week and so the story goes.

I hope everyone is hanging in there. It's been a long ride for many (if not all) of us.

Glad that you guys received DM. Which visa office, out of curiosity? It’s so agonizing waiting for an update. Now many of us are waiting for PPR. Hope that we’ll all hear good news soon

I had received my medical request on March 16 but due to some personal family emergencies that I was caught up with.. I did not check my email until April 6. I have now requested to book an appointment but they have not gotten back to me yet with a date. It may go over the 30 days as mentioned in the letter. I am not sure what to do at this point? Can someone help me out? Who can I contact to advise them it will go over the 30 day period?

My file is currently in London, does anyone have the phone number of email for them? Or do I contact the Canada office?

Any help is highly appreciated

Dont worry about it, you can request for an extension if needed! specially now due to covid pandemic, you can do your request for extension on the webform as always. https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1239&top=16

I had the Pre A and DM at March 20. And up to now no update. Have you tried calling IRCC and ask what's on the go with your papers? also try contacting your MP

After that, nothing has happened yet...So frustrating..

Congrats on your DM finally!!!
And I want to ask you one question, you sent a police certificate with your first package back in July.
But you needed to include another type of police certificate then?

Yes, we needed to submit two from Italy: (1) Certificate of outstanding criminal proceedings and (2) “Certificato Casellario Giudiziale” Certificate from the Judicial Records Register

But we only submitted one of them back in July 2020 not realizing there were two types of certificates.

hi, don’t worry about this. Our letter says 30 days, and we rang up IRCC and they’re giving all applicants longer, regardless of what it says on the letter. See below:

Really good that so many of you are getting updates and DM. I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones that went to CPC Mississauga. Only have AOR, Bio and SA so far.
