1. The timeline graph that shows x% completed from 6 months has suddenly disappeared from my profile.

2. I want to understand the current status of my application. I see a lot of people commenting that their application is in the "Criminality" or "Security" phase. How are you finding this information.

3. I submitted my biometrics in Feb. I see the biometrics number being reflected in my profile "Applicant Information" but the status on biometrics reads:
  • We have not received your fingerprints. Check your biometrics request message below for details.
Can someone help answer some or all of these questions?

Graph - you mean the progress bar -which was recently removed per the email from IRCC below. You can raise a web form and inquire about the status of your application. You can also request your Gcms Notes as well or instead. To see all the stages of an application https://bit.ly/37nCTJD

Dear client,

Thank you for your interest in Canada. We are looking forward to having you here.

Due to the impacts of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), we’re experiencing longer than usual processing delays. Rest assured, we are still actively processing your Economic Class – Provincial/Territorial Nominees (EE) application, but it will take longer than usual to get back to you.

This also means that we are unable to provide accurate processing times on individual applications at this time. As a result, we have removed the progress bar in the online account of Economic Class – Provincial/Territorial Nominees (EE) clients. You can still get the most current information about the status of your Economic Class – Provincial/Territorial Nominees (EE) application by checking the ‘Details about application status’ section in your online account.

In order to provide you with the most up-to-date information about our current processing capacity, we are posting weekly updates on expected processing delays by type of application.

Keep us informed of your situation
While you wait, please contact us to let us know of any changes in your application, such as a change to your situation or contact information.

Important information about Canada’s travel restrictions due to COVID-19
To protect Canadians from COVID-19, travel restrictions are in place for individuals travelling to Canada. Even when your application is complete, you may not be able to travel to Canada right away. As the COVID-19 situation changes, we regularly update our website. Visit the coronavirus disease page on the IRCC website to find the latest information before you make travel plans, and again before departing for Canada, to avoid being denied boarding or entry in Canada.

We are sorry to keep you waiting and thank you for your patience,

Sincerely,
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

Regarding the medical exams, does this means that I have passed them and I have moved to IP2 stage (and any day i might expect the email for the passport)? Or I haven't passed them and I have to wait?

I’m stuck in the same boat... my background check is in process since first week of February, it’s getting really depressing. I had planned everything on a six month window...but it seems it’s not going to be possible due to the current situation.

Change in Background Check status doesn't happen to everyone even if they have passed the Elegibility. Also, Ghost Update not necessarily mean that one has cleared any stages. It shows that someone is working on your application, or any other activities. Only IRCC or GCMS can tell the actual status.

  • The background verifications are currently valid.
  • The security background verification has not been initiated.
  • The criminal background verification is currently valid.
Can someone confirm what does "currently valid" mean here for background verification and criminal background?
