Hello @legalfalcon ,

Hope you are doing well.
I was trying to find correct info about my query but fail to get any concrete answer. It would be really helpful if you can give some insight about the following:

My COPR is expiring on 31st May 2021 (issued in Dec 20). I got an email from IRCC that I cannot enter Canada at a moment.

However, I tried the IRCC Canada entry questionnaire as follows:
3-Which best describes you or your reason for entry into Canada? (required)
Work activities or employment reasons
4-Which best describes the nature of your work in Canada?
Technician or specialist (supporting critical infrastructure)
and the result was: likely be allowed.

Just wanted to confirm that if I get a job offer letter, can I enter Canada (My current organization is planning to shift me to their Canada branch)?
If yes, then do I need to inform IRCC about it to get an AL or is it not necessary? if yes, then through Webform or an email?

Please advise.
A job by itself will not help. However, with the job offer, you can apply for a work permit, and with a work permit you will be exempt from the travel restrictions.

Thank you Sir.
I was in a belief that a PRV/COPR person doesn't need a work permit to work.

How can we apply for the same? What time does it take to get it?

If you are a Permanent Resident of Canada, you do not need a work permit. However, just by getting a PR visa and COPR does not make you a PR. You only become a PR when you land in Canada and are admitted as a PR. This is also when your COPR will be signed and stamped and effective that date you will be a PR.

To apply for work permit see https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/permit/temporary/apply.html

Once you become a PR, your spouse will be exempt from travel restrictions as an immediate family member of a PR.

Thanks for your time. In that case do I need to write a letter of intention on my part. My spouse already did.
You do not need any letter from your spouse. Only the PA's address, job etc. is taken into account. If you are living in any Province other than QC, then you do not have to worry.

Just received this mail in response to webform raised couple weeks ago . It says security and criminality are valid, does it mean it is passed ? Also the second point says responsible officer reviewed the eligibility requirements? What does that mean ? Any ideas ?

“valid” here indicates, that the documents required for the specific stage are “legal, not expired, and accepted by IRCC,” and no further input is required by the applicant. So most likely your criminality and security are passed.

As regards your eligibility, it seems like it is passed by an officer.

@legalfalcon hi, thanks for all you do.

When I submitted my PR application I was living in the US, so FSW Outland. However I have since moved to Canada on a work permit. I have updated IRCC with my new address and that I am now in Canada. My question is - will my application be processed as FSW Outland or FSW Inland?

There is nothing under the immigration law as outland and inland, and neither is there any difference in processing, except that if your are in Canada, instead of send a PPR request, you will be send a COPR since you do not need a PR visa to enter Canada as you are already in Canada.

Also, for applicants in Canada, they may have a record check for security instead of comprehensive security screening. See https://bit.ly/3apWglN

Irrespective of whether you are in Canada or not, if you change your Country of Residence you have to update your address with IRCC if your application asunder process.

Hi @legalfalcon , I am PNP SINP candidate and I am now preparing to submit my application through Express Entry. I have some questions that need your help:

1. My original police certificate was issued in local language, so I need to translate this document into English. However, in my country, for the police certificate, the translators must use original police certificate directly to translate (Other documents like degrees or marriage certificate, they will use certified copies to work for instead of the original). So, in the police certificate upload section, is it sufficient if I upload:
- Original police certificate that the translator works for;
- Official Translation;
- Affidavit.
2. My marriage certificate needs to translate. However, when I received the translation, I found that they translate every contents except for my name and my spouse's name. My name is in latin characters plus some special character like Đỗ Văn. Is it a problem when I submit my application?
3. For the work experience, when I submitted to SINP, I used many documents in order to prove my work experience for over 10 years. I know that I will submit the same documents in Express Entry. However, I have over 100 pages of document and when I combine all the document, it exceeds the maximum file size (4mb). Can I upload main documents (reference letter, employment contracts, certificate of incomes) or I need to upload all documents that submitted to SINP?

Thank you so much for your support
