SA Approval and Medical Request received today (03/29) was 3 days after Biometrics (03/26) and a little under a week after AOR1 (03/24). CIC received application 10/05/20, so things are moving along finally (probably because of extra workers they hired). Hopefully they move as quickly once Biometrics and Medical submitted. Our states USCIS booking out about 2 weeks for Biometrics (Outland in US), and unfortunately have to travel to Medical Exam - wish the border was open as Canadian Panel Physician is much closer than a US one. Keep your heads up!

So relieved to finally receive our AOR today! I linked the application to a CIC account, and the portal is estimating that our processing time will be 7 months. Anyone know how accurate that estimate is these days? I know it wouldn't usually take over 5 months to get AOR.... Seems unlikely!
That 7 months means nothing. The timeline is from the date they receive your application to exactly a year later. I'm glad they removed it.

Hang in there! Maybe give them a call and see if you can get any info. That'll probably help a bit. :)

Unfortunately, with this kind of applications and processes, we can't really do much but hope and pray it goes through.

I'm an October 22nd applicant and I haven't received any info about our application. Last time, I used the webform to ask a couple of questions and they just said it's waiting to be processed.

It's extremely stressful but we have no choice but to be patient.

The agents are also not allowed to divulge a lot of info to callers/applicants. :(

I understand that it's a tedious process and once you're in, you're pretty much settled but yeah, the waiting game sucks and definitely not good for mental health.

I've been trying my best to stay calm and positive. Seeing other October applicants receive their AORs make me happy but at the same time, worried that something might be wrong with our application. :D

Yes that's exactly how I feel. My spouse has been seeing other applications processed but ours is hanging..she's so sad. Just don't know how to console her anymore. I have no other piece of information to give her other than it in process.

I understand how you feel. Last year, before we submitted our application - we were both thinking that by this time we'll have pretty much a good idea on how things will go. Boy, we were so wrong. o_O

We can't control the timing and how they process things so we'll just have to hang tight. Maybe good for you to divert your attention for now (I know it's not easy...). It's not good for your mental health and your spouse's too.

I hope we hear some good news soon. :)
