Travel History

Hi there!

I just wanted to clarify a few things in the Travel History section of my PR application for CEC.

1. It says "Provide details of any trips XXXX has taken outside his/her country of origin or of residence in the last ten years”. - I'm from the UK. I am not sure as to what to put down here. Does this mean I don't mention any trips I've taken back to the UK or my return to Canada? Are they only asking for 3rd countries ( i.e countries I've visited outside of UK and Canada) ?

2. Additionally, before I even got a Temporary Resident Status in Canada, I did visit Canada back in 2011 with my family. Would I put this down seeing as it is before getting a work permit?

3. Do they need exact dates of travel/return? I am unsure of some of the dates when I went on vacation as I can't find some of my itineraries but I do know the month and year.

Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.

3. Try to be as precise as possible. Have a look at your passports stamps and maybe old pictures to help you figure out the dates.

In the Travel History section of your CEC PR application, you don’t need to include trips between the UK and Canada since those are your country of origin and country of residence. They are only asking for travel to third countries outside of those two. However, your visit to Canada in 2011 should still be included, even though it was before you had a work permit, because it was international travel. As for dates, they prefer exact travel and return dates, but if you’re unsure and only remember the month and year, that’s acceptable. Just include a short Letter of Explanation noting that some exact dates are unavailable.
