Thanks @whyCorona

After your remeds - did your Application Page change status to "Submitted"?

Review of Medical Status, Background Check, Final Status etc?

Could you tell me in detail what all did the agent re-assure?
Do you know what the next steps are etc please?
No, nothing changed on my profile after remeds. I directly received the update for Final Decision date after 2 weeks of my remeds. My medicals passed date is still showing the old one. Sometimes NDVO process the application in the background without updating the GCkey.

Many thanks for your response. What about the proof of funds? It is going to be reevaluated based on new family size right?
YEs, if your previous POF is insufficient to meet the new family composition, then you should submit a revised PoF.

Hi @legalfalcon ..I need some advice. I recently got engaged to my partner. Now if i add any changes, will I have to do the whole process again. ?. or is it better to land there first and apply for spousal PR process?
Being engaged has no value in the eyes of law. You have to be married or be in a common law law relationship. If you get married, you have to inform IRCC and your spouse will be subject to criminal, medical and security admissibility, irrespective of whether they are accompanying or not.

If you add your spouse, after you submit the application, your CRS will not be re-calculated. This will add a few months to your processing but you and your spouse will get a COPR together.

If you land in Canada as a PR, get married and then sponsor your spouse, the processing time is 12 months. Until then you spouse can obtain a visitor's visa and wp and join you.

so they have asked this question.

. Have any material facts relevant to your application changed for you and/or any of your accompanying or non-accompanying family members since the issuance of your original immigrant visa(s)? (e.g. relationship status, new criminal charges or convictions, change in country of residence, change in custody arrangements for minor child(ren), change in available settlement funds, etc.) – YES or NO? (If you answer yes, please provide details.)

What if I mention i got engaged with my partner. Does that mean they will add her as an applicant.?..or..its makes no difference?. I am sorry this looks like a repeated question. Just for my own verification.

"Engaged" is not a status recognized by law or under immigration law.

As per IRCC Family member is defined as : An applicant’s closest relatives, in the context of an application to IRCC. It is defined as a spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children.

Hi all,

I would like to know if it's possible to call IRCC using Skype with the Canadians subscriptions of $4/month? I have been using TextNow App to call them in the past but I am no longer able to get a Canadian number to call them. :(

Any help or recommandation will be greatly appreciated as I am waiting now for over a year and my applications seem to be not moving at all for the issuance of an AL. Thanx

@ Tommybenet965,

This is an update to the remedicals challenge we both faced.

The hospital wrote to IRCC and sent me the feedback from IRCC to them, which stated that, I do not need to redo the medicals, it was received and assessed, that they will contact the case officer to amend it.

But out of curiosity and to be sure I wrote too, and got a reply yesterday that our medicals are okay, even stated the validity, and drew my attention to my daughter's own which is scheduled for month end.

I do hope you get positive feedback with regards to that of your wife, as time and cost ain't funny in this journey.

Best of luck as we proceed.

Ok I called the same number and a lady even without hearing anything said we don’t provide details on call please email and disconnected. I made sure to write a very good email to NDVO and copied all Vic,central intake etc... cz enough of their sluggishness
Hey which other IDs did you mark your email to? I'll send them another follow up email in a couple of days if I don't hear back from them.

I would just top up my account and call them.
Subscription is not necessary imo

Hey. Any sweethearts to answer this. I did my remeds yesterday and I’m wondering what the timeline would be between the remeds and PPR? Please kindly share your timelines.

Got my Authorization Letter today. Some details -
7-point email: 24th December 2020; I did not reply back to them since I wasn't ready to travel
Re-medical email: 24th December
Went for medical: 24th February 2021
5th March: New email stating that IRCC is now able to issue me an authorization letter to travel to Canada. 14-days to let them know if I can travel within 60 days or not.
18th March: Let them know I am willing to travel (totally not expecting the AL in just a day)

Have 60-days to reach there now.

Can anyone please point me to any post/thread which has a rough estimate of expenses one might face in the first month given all the current quarantine conditions? The window to plan for a lot of things changed very quickly for me.

Or any post where someone has shared details of their day-to-day or week-to-week after they landed there recently? Just to get an understanding of how I could plan for things?

Thank you!

Neither did I. I spoke to the customer service agent at IRCC yesterday and she said at times you don't get an acknowledgement. She suggested that I write an email to NDVO on delhi-immigration@international.gc.ca with a screenshot/export of my email response asking them for an acknowledgement. That way atleast it'll be on our records that we replied. Use the same email ID that has been registered with your application.

Looks like we have the same COPR issue dates.. mine also got approved on 15th March 2020 but it expired in Aug. My 4-pt email also came in Sept and I haven't heard anything back from them since. Whenever I used to raise a webform or call them, I was told that my file is with NDVO and that I should wait. It's possible this email got auto-triggered as soon as we hit the 1 year mark of our COPR issue date.

Let's just hope we get our remedical requests soon. Best of luck!
Any update received??
