Question
When they say “background check processing” - they check bg of the sponsored person or sponsor? Or both?

Has anyone inquired about their early November application (before the 15th) to CIC?

I find it absolutely crazy that FEB 2021 outland applicants are already getting AOR and Medical Requests before us Nov 2020 applicants.

Is there any way we can inquire about or applications?

Agents would not give a definitive answer especially in current situation where they easily escape in the name of COVID. Unfortunately, Immigration is such matter where you cannot do much except contact them or get your MP to contact them on your behalf. Again, none of these will provide us with the answer we are looking for. I am in the same situation. Application was received on November 9th and still haven't hear anything. It is unfair to see people applied much later getting AORs, sponsor approvals and medical requests.

I am trying to get out of this unfair system where temporary residents are allowed to be with their partner way earlier than PRs and citizens. TRV is a joke these days. They are randomly forwarding a template as a reason for TRV refusal with numerous reasons listed and you have to pick which may have suited the best for your case.

It has been more than 4 month since the application is received by them and no update yet except a temporary file number. Our files yet to go to a secondary visa office and only god knows how long they will take to process. We can only hope for an update.

My immigration lawyer emailed them, they said our file is not in the system yet... their reply took about a month)))

When did he send it?
She ;)

she emailed themin the middle of February like hey, what’s up with our docs? They replied in like 25 days saying it’s not in the system yet.

I see September and October moving by 3-6 people a day, according to the spreadsheets. Hopefully next month will be our turn.

Just want to encourage November applicants still waiting on their AOR1 that it will soon be your turn.
And it doesn't really matter whether you get your AOR1 in January or May, your app is still going to be processed within that 12 month time frame (barring unforseen circumstances).
That is to say we are all expected to get our PPRs by November this year. In same vein, those who submitted their applications this year will get their PPRs next year according to processing times.

Keep the faith, guys!
Don't let the gloom in.
