I believe the police have reported to immigration when they arrested me... they asked me which border when landed as PR :(
But then the officer told me that this won’t impact my citizenship application as it’s a summary offence. My lawyer is a criminal defence lawyer not an immigration lawyer and he recommended me to sign a peace bond to avoid trial. I personally want a trial but it may take longer.
Yes summary offence won't affect your citizenship. I think if you search this forum, there was someone who has summary offence and got the citizenship. But I would advise to take precautions please

Thank you for being so supportive and non-judgemental!! I’m not too stressed on this. Hopefully the case will be resolved soon and this long citizenship journey will end soon.

Thank you to everyone on the citizenship forum and in particular this group, that has been so helpful, encouraging and supportive! I will be hanging out in family sponsorships, but you guys are my peeps and I'm sitting here with my pom poms, dear October 2019 applicants, to cheer and celebrate for you when you become Canadian.

Bless you all! <3

My PR card is expiring in a month and i am just confused whether i need to get it renewed or not? Do we need a valid PR card for oath? Does the renewal going to affect my citizenship file? I have no travel plans until my citizenship process is done. Anyone can help?

Don't renew unless you plan to travel. If you don't plan to travel make sure life won't make you travel. There's no need for a valid PR for anything Cship related or your day-to-day life. If, however, you want piece of mind feel free to. In other words: no requirement for that, unless you want it. Shouldn't delay anything theoretically
