My friend got rejected his refugee case and he got very strict remarks from judge and his lawyer said even in appeal your case will be refused. So, only chance is if you get married to any PR or citizen holder. I want to know what is the chances if he marries someone who's PR in process ?

That's really not enough information to comment.

- Is the relationship genuine or is it a marriage of convenience to allow him to remain in Canada? If it's a MOC, expect big problems.
- Getting married to someone with PR in progress will not prevent him from being removed from Canada while that application is in progress.
- How has this person applied for PR? How far along is the application? He will need to be added to the application and provide documentation which will cause delays to application processing.

IRCC isn't stupid.

Expect the marriage of convenience to be discovered which will make his situation even worse than it is now.

The IRCC isn’t stupid nor were they born yesterday . They being the people reviewing cases. Your “ friend “ isnt the first nor will be the last to try this manoeuvre to stay in Canada . Friend applies for asylum, friend is refused , friend miraculously finds love , friend attempts to stay in Canada thru spousal sponsorship.
Seriously, how ridiculous does this sound ?

It’s a hard situation, the IRCC know all these stuff as they see stuff like that all the time. Nonetheless, it still 50/50. It does not mean the marriage will fail or it will not be approved. It will definitely delay your PR process beyond usual.
It doesn’t mean your friend could not be removed if the PR is not approved before he gets removal order if his appeal failed and he exhausted all options. But, nothing wrong or bad in trying
Prepare for the worst, try your best and talk to a VERY GOOD and SINCERE lawyer. I must tell you that most immigration lawyers only care about the money!!!

The O/P already stated that the marriage will be a marriage of convenience, otherwise In layman’s terms , a sham.
And it is wrong to use getting married to stay in the country , when the only reason they are getting hitched is for one to stay in the country. It’s misrepresentation, lying , gaming the system whatever you want to call it. It’s WRONG
Just because the person had a rejected asylum claim , doesn’t give them the right to game the system .

Oh yeah. You are right by all definitions but, we are here to advise ourselves and leave the person with all opportunities and the consequences attached. It is wrong does not mean it can’t be explored.
People, the the first instance make their claims on falsehood but then, lots still scaled through and get accepted.
That’s my point. Lots of people got married so that they will be allowed to stay in Canada...it it WRONG but many still get accepted.
Coming through illegal land routes are WRONG but people do and still get accepted and most of them are doing fine and even better than lots.
In as much that I don’t want to encourage what’s wrong, I just want to put the cards on the table and let people make their choices. People will do what they have to do anyways, especially when they are desperate.

I asked on behalf of my friend and think it's a wrong forum to ask where people expressed their knowledge to bully. Thanks for the harsh words. btw this thread is for refugee and asylum and you all came here on Visit visa? and than all sudden you felt your life is in danger you can't go back and on the other hand you're so, desperate to get PR to visit your home country too. don't forget how you all came here.

You indicated the marriage might work out. MOC is never a true relationship but an agreement.
