You really should have a good lawyer or consultant to help handle your case. Sounds like it might be blue book. Ours took 4 months to arrive. We started appeal process one year ago. Our hearing is in about a week! Getting excited
I’m glad this nightmare is going to be over very soon! I wish you best of luck! So after you received the book how long it took to receive an email from the appeal division stating the day of your appeal hearing? Btw why is this book “blue”? When we received the GCMS notes we realized that it would be almost impossible to win the appeal. It was written that months of our traveling around the EU cannot be considered “cohabitation period” because in that case we didn’t have “the joint household”...because we changed countries and cities pretty often. I guess they wanted us to have a permanent apartment while traveling.

We received the blue book in August. We received the hearing date in December. The bluebook is from the visa office and has all notes on your file from the visa officers.

Thank you for the info. I guess we should somehow take a closer look at what we just got.

Hello! How are you fellow Warsaw applicants?
I’ve already posted this message on the appeal thread and thought that maybe someone from this thread can help me with following questions.

I’m looking for some guidance on the appeal procedures. After my sponsor sent our notice of appeal last October (After refusal in September) we didn’t really look into the appeal process. Today my sponsor’s family member got a package with our file data, the amount of pages is insane! On the first page it was written “appeal division”. What is this? Was that sent to us to get prepared for the appeal hearing? We can’t really look it through because the sponsor is currently living with me outside of Canada. What’s going to happen next? As we decided that it’s probably more convenient for us to resubmit a new application I was wondering at which step we can cancel our request for the appeal and be able to have a refund?
Hope you're doing well!

If you're going to get married, I think it will be more simple to withdraw your app/appeal and just apply again. From following the appeals threads, they seem to take quite a long time, and that's assuming you win your appeal.

Up to you of course. If you don't wish to, I honestly don't know what the best course of action is.

One warning that I don't know the answer to - and that you should speak to a lawyer about. I think it is possible that you could lose the appeal on a sort-of technicality - i.e. they recognise you are a real couple and common law at the time the appeal is heard. BUT if the appeal is heard on the narrow question of whether you WERE common law at the time you originally applied, they could still decide the original decision was correct (despite everything afterwards).

Hello everyone!

Does anyone know, when the medical results submitted by the doctor to IRCC, are they submitted and reviewed in the Visa Office that is responsible for the file or somewhere else?

Thank you!

I believe they have centralized system but VO will be notified and will see results. Don’t worry about that.

Just a general question in order to be aware what to expect in the future:
For those who are applying from Russia, when it comes to visa collection letter we realized that the passport with all the rest of the documents have to be submitted to Canadian Embassy in Moscow through VAC Visa (Application Center).
If anyone already had this experience, can you please advice?
If there is VAC in the city you live, can you bring to documents in person or you still have to send the documents to VAC in Moscow with courier service?

We submitted in Moscow. It has to be through the VAC. Right now the VAC is only accepting through the courier service. I understand at least some of the other VACs in Russia are now working but no experience with them - probably also by courier. Earlier in this thread there were experiences with submitting to VFS but of course some minor things may have changed.
