How old can be supporting documents-Family Class

Hi all, I will sponsor my wife, we need to get many documents such as marriage certificate, divorce certificate, police certificates, birth certificates, etc. How long before submitting the application we can request those documents please?

As far as I'm aware with exception of pcc - which should be recent - no time limit on other docs.
