One - you do know that they have raised the concern so we are seeing the movement of the files in the past few weeks.
Two - Selection of migrants changed from lottery system to point-based which proved to be much more organized than bringing in the herd.
Three - The quota system was reduced to control the thousands CSQs that were issued by the previous senseless government. If not more applications would've piled up by IRCC.
Four- Immigration Quota is raised now to meet Post-Covid employment requirements to support the economy province-wide.
Five - Any immigration policy change we can expect from this government will be in favor of the majority of voters who want to reduce the intake numbers and want most of them to speak french.
Six - Because there is an open arm welcome program in other provinces from their liberal government will not make any change here in Quebec because we keep forgetting we are in an anti-immigrant province and being an immigrant cannot expect anything to change for us overnight by few media articles and private lawyers supporting protests.

Until the People of Quebec change their views on immigration and non-french speaking people (we all well know the ground reality about racism in Quebec, it is not politically motivated or created by a few fringe groups but the general public openly do not accept common living with immigrants), we cannot expect any immigration processing speeds to change.

We do not like this? unfortunately have to wait for the next election or choose another province.
I am not sure u got him right... since u have got a CSQ, this means you have been selected and moved on into the federal stage. Our files are now the responsibility of federal....
I do not think that quebec would ask federal to hold up applications, while they are currently granting CSQs
Ur right when it comes to the mass view on immigrants, yet they cannot stop immigration as they need manpower and we will give up on our applications :)

I think Quebec government is still sticking to thier election promises where they said limited immigration. Like i said before IMO thier concern is to make french applicants choose quebec over other provinces and attract other French speaking community in other provinces to move to quebec.

Any immigration quota increase due to pandemic is still in controlled numbers and not skewing away from thier election manifesto. Which is what i repeatedly say that the CAQ view on immigration will not change...pandemic or not as they were elected on those terms. I'm not against immigration as i'm an immigrant myself but all i say is to adapt to the reality we live in. This is the province we chose and just have to wait until next election to see changes in immigration. Until then you know what to do. :)

My opinion is that you are stuck in security check. You know your background so you should know what can be the thing that triggered the delay.
how should we be more prepared for security? we are not criminals, I provided three security checks from all the countries that I had lived before, IRCC asked me to submit USA security cos I was a graduate from there! They already received my submission in Aug 2019, after that no more news! what else could have caused the delay?

I don't understand why you think that you have a delay. You only submitted your application in 2019 and the processing time is 27 months. If you submitted medicals without being asked for it, your file won't jump the queue. It will wait till its your turn to be reviewed and then if the medicals have expired, you'll be asked for it again. Unless you're being sponsored by a family member, I don't think you're facing a delay?

on the online accounts, we were supposed to receive it in November 2020 ( all this is before covid ). For anyone with CSQ, the normal processing time is just 24 months, before, in 2018, it was just 12 months.
Of course, is IRCC who asked us to submit our medical, now I guess is already expired and definitely, we have to redo it again!!

I got confused. I thought you had submitted your application in 2019. They may or may not ask you to redo your medicals. Some people have just had them extended. Where are you from?

I'm sure that you are not a criminal but you if are coming from certain country or you traveled a lot that may require deeper background check. It depends on CBSA and CSIS recommendations.

They should start thinking about economics, education and other important stuff, but unfortunately preserving the French is the only priority they have. Which is getting kind of pointless. They prefer poor immigrants which don't speak a word English than the one who can actually contribute to the economy. There are millions different ways to promote the language, but they just luck of vision. The bad thing is that the majority support them.

Yes, it *could* matter where you're from for various reasons.. 27 months is on IRCC website. Some people have been getting medicals extended. The agents do it if they think your medical file can be extended. It has been happening.

You asked questions, answers were provided. If you don't like the answers, don't ask questions. If you suspect the answers are off, do a Google search for yourself.

Of course it's matter :) I become a kind of background check expert. I already talked to two lawyers and IRCC, it's matter: your travel history and background. Why do you think they are asking you to fill out all this papers about your background. They have a system and certain pattern or countries are red flagged already. It's understandable procedure but the time consumed is really unacceptable.

You can not extend the medicals, only IRCC can do it.

You know that you are not a criminal, but they don't know it. If you are from August 2019, you will see all the posts here from the people since July 2019 that haven't received their AOR's and they are starting to receive them now. Even, they are people from late 2018 who haven't receive their permanent residency, so please, you have to be grateful to receive a request to provide more documents because it means they working on your demand.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to chime in to say that I hope everyone is taking good care of their mental health and overall well-being during this time. I too, like all of us, feel very stressed when facing this uncertainty regarding the future. It is truly an exhausting process, and I hope that we aren't left in the cold for much longer. Not receiving an AOR after applying in October 2019 leaves me wondering what to do if my application is returned, as well as how to handle the upcoming end of my work permit in 7 months. I have given this country so much of my time, money, and energy but I can't face any more hurdles should something go wrong, it is excruciating to live with the low-grade stress of not knowing how the future will go.
