getting biometrics done

A question for those of you that have recently had biometrics done: what was the actual process once you arrive at the appointment and after?

For those that have done it in London (UK), is there anything specific you would have liked to have known before going to your appointment?

Mr LL has had his BIL, but we are nowhere near London - does he need to go back after the appointment, once scheduled, for any reason? If so, what would that be?

Any COVID tips?

My husband did them in India. It was an in & out process and took maybe 10 minutes!

And then? Do you need to return? What happens to the fingerprints and pictures? Where do they get sent?

They get uploaded and sent to IRCC. No, no need to return from our experience.

Oh, that's good. We are so far away from our VAC. What a relief!

Any idea how you get told IRCC has the biometrics? Does it get put on ECAS or GCKey? How long does it take?

Ours were uploaded onto GCKEY within 10 minutes!
