Termination from Part-Time effects PGWP?

Hi,

One of my friend got terminated from his part-time today for Just Cause (Theft). For that reason they terminated him today and he is on his study permit now and will be applying for his PGWP in April 2021. Is termination going to effect getting his PGWP? Please let me know if you have faced or may be some of your connections have faced the same problem.

Note: He got terminated where he got some food from store without paying for it.

Thank you for the information. He got terminated by his manager itself and no police check has been happened. It did not got to court too. As the one you referenced to related to big theft may be?
