Got an update today,
“You application status has changes” but no changes in my profile. It’s my first time to get this update as usually it’s “your application has been updated”. Thoughts?
Same here.. Got a ghost update 2 days back.. Not sure for what..

:(
I hope you are right, but I still wonder how you are so sure :(
As per my understanding, they are planning to start giving PPRs from March onwards. So they might be getting ready with all the documents in place.

All travellers need to get the covid test before departure and on arrival(Mandatory), should stay for 3 days in government-approved hotel(quarantine), then if the test result is negative you can proceed to your choice of living( need not move out of that place for 14 days, just like quarantine). These measures are finalized by Canada government.
So I think PPRs will be issued in a month or 2. Just keep hopes alive.

Please don’t speculate on days when PPR will be released, this might be an empty hope for many because we’re waiting for almost year and a half by now.

Hi everyone,

I got ITA in September 2019, I have submitted all my documents in October 2019. They requested for re-medical last year in August 2020. After that there is no update. Its been exactly 15 months and there is no any other update after that. I understand there could be delays due to Covid but its been 15 months now. GCMS notes are not providing any specific information either. When I call them, the agent says you should get PPR soon but I have been hearing this since 2020. What should I do now?

AOR Received.
27-01-2019
Followup:
I received the PR on 7th Nov from Delhi VO asking to submit passports to VFS India even though I reside in Dubai. After sending multiple webforms and emails to Canada, Delhi and Abu Dhabi Embassy asking if I can provide the passports to VFS Dubai. I finally visited VFS Dubai and they accepted the passports. This is after checking if the email I had received was fraudulent or no.
Also I was worried if they would accept my newborn's passport as baby's details were not updated in my application.
But in their system was already updated.
So all our passports are submitted.
This is my timeline as below.
AOR- 27 Jan, 2019
MEP - March 11, 2019
Biometrics completed - March 30
Request sent to add spouse - June 28
Docs submitted of spouse - July 27
MEP spouse - Aug 8
Update Dec 24, 2019 - Medical exam not required.
Remedical request : 24 April 2020 (Could not complete as was pregnant)
Spouse biometric submitted: June 3, 2020
Baby's details requested to be updated: Oct 25, 2020
Remedical updated: Nov 6, 2020
PR email received: Nov 7, 2020
I need some advice regarding passport submission. I submitted passports as you can see in Nov. Now about 2 and half months later, the Copr is still not issued.
My VO is Delhi but as i reside in Dubai so the passports were submitted to Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi. I have sent webforms to Delhi VO & Abu Dhabi but no clear update when I can possibly receive the passports back.
VFS Dubai informed me that 2 months is normal as VO is different than the country of residence. But its now been more than 2 months and I am at a complete loss in understanding why is it taking so long to issue the COPR.
Has anyone been in the same situation ?

I have no idea. I haven't seen much PPR from Ottawa. Neither from Sydney, atleast since the last 45 days.
All we can do is be hopeful and patient for now. :(
What I'm not getting is how are 1-2 people getting PPRs from other offices? I don't think they all are family unification cases? What's the logic?

Exactly. They should have atleast granted the PPR's in some order, but honestly from where I see it.. I see no pattern at all. Just that a lot of CEC inland applicants are getting their COPR's almost every day.
And very few random PPR's to Outland applicants. I saw none from India since 22nd December.

yeah since my last medical had passed on Feb 10 2020, I assumed I have time.
But I got re-medical on Jan 6th 2021.
I hardly understand what they are upto right now .
Hello,

Any updates after you did your medicals again?

I did re-medical on Jan 16th 2021, passed it on Jan 27th 2021 - now not sure what is the next step before PPR or how long it would take from the day you pass your medicals to the PPR?
