COPR stating "not valid for travel" has been there all along not just now if I am not wrong. What they are saying is that you cannot enter Canada with just a COPR, you need a PRV stamped on your passport along with it to travel.
I think your COPR has expired.

Nope, if I understand correctly travel restrictions apply we are not exempt from these, and we cannot travel just to become a permenant resident according to the site:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/immigration-applicants.html#expired

If you got your COPR, but haven’t landed
If we sent you a COPR, but you haven’t been able to go to one of our offices in Canada to validate it, we’ll contact you to tell you what to do. Use the web form if you need to update your contact information.

You should not travel to a port of entry to validate your COPR. This is not considered essential travel and you won’t be able to validate it this way.
People are coming in from different part of the world. From my part, nobody has been asked not to board nor land provided your PCR has not expired and your test is negative.

I think @4sam understanding is correct we can't travel even as we have a valid PRV and COPR the borders are closed and unless we have some exceptions like immediate family or something like that .... as in the case of no-one stopping you well that can happen still a risk .. from the other forum especially the very active COPR and Coronavirus everyone is saying we cannot travel

Upon checking it shows that copr is issued with document number and expiry date.
but in messages it says 'information letter' which I can't open
"This page isn't working right now

Kindly guide as not sure of next step.

Could you please confirm which country when you say your part?

Thanks.

I wonder when they will exempt valid CoPR/PRV holders from travel restrictions.
They still approve applications and send out CoPR's, but that would be a waste of their own (IRCC's) time when those applicants can't land before their CoPR expires.

In my opinion, IRCC will exempt them... But the big question is when

I agree, it is quite frustrating to have the valid COPR/PRV in hand but cannot travel. Not sure why don't they just allow the immigrants with valid COPR/PRV to travel now, otherwise they'll keep dealing with expired COPR/PRVs for a long long time..

Also, below exemption doesn't make sense to me. What about rest of the world? Given COVID situation, United States is on top of the list and still valid COPR are being allowed to enter from that country... beats me.

  • COPR-holders with a valid COPR who are residing in the United States and were approved on any date (even after March 18, 2020) and who are travelling to Canada to settle permanently (Source: IRCC);

True, but I guess their economy will suffer too much when they don't allow them either

Guys ,
I have received my CoPR and Travel visa in 1st week of December. The expiration date of my CoPR, Visa is Jan 31st, 2021. I am asked to arrive in Canada by that time and my visa will not be extended beyond that date. Am ready to move to Canada. I have my arrival plans ready which include Quarantine stay, Residence, Travel flight plans. On the IRCC website its mentioned that IRCC would contact people with CoPR, Travel visa but no one contacted me. I have raised a couple of web forms requesting Travel Authorization in the month of December to which I received normal response quoting paragraphs from the website, which was of no use. I have raised 2 more web forms seeking Travel Authorization Letter in January but no response yet. Tried calling the New Delhi embassy but no luck.

I don't have any family in Canada. Am an Express entry PR online applied, applicant. My medicals will also expire by Jan 31st, 2021.
It would be great if any of you can let me know the options if the CoPR, Visa gets expired.

Thank you
