I just wanted to enquire, if you do an 8 month post graduate certificate program in
Canada then is it true that you don't get any points in the Education category when applying for PR later on?
Please please confirm this for me

Who told you that? Not true. If your first degree is assessed of three years or more, you may be eligible to count the certificate as ”two or more.”

Hello,

You are qualified to apply for PGWP and then PR as long as you studied in any of the eligible Post-Secondary School in Canada. Lay down your fears.
