India PCC from Toronto

Can anyone please help me. The Indian consulate website states that they don't issue PCC for people on tourist or visitor visa.

My parents are here in Canada on visitor visa and need PCC for immigration purposes.

Is there anyway to get PCC from Canada?

Nope As far I Know they have to get their PCC from India.

Because CGI only Consider Work permit Study Permit and PR holders

1. As a Indian passport holder. How many photographs in total are required ? I have pasted one photograph on application form, do I need to send one more photograph along with the application or the photo on application form is sufficient?

2. Do I really need purolater envelope or any regular envelope will work? I mean I can print out label and stick it on any other envelope will it work?

3. After paying for the pick and drop, purolator only generated one label which is to send documents to BLS. I do not see any return label. How does this work? BLS and purolator will manage return label on own as I have already paid for pick and drop? Do I need to submit empty envelope along with the application?

1. Refer to the application checklist based your jurisdiction for number of photographs. For Ottawa, you need 4 and 1 for Toronto.
2. Purolator envelope is recommended by BLS

Thanks a lot for answering this. One last question is, should I ask Purolator service personel to provide envelope at the time of collection or I should ask them when I call Purolator for pickup? I wanted to avoid situation of packing my documents at the time of collection and would have preferred to prepare it beforehand.

I dropped it off at the nearest Purolator shipment centre and they had extra envelopes outside for free. Maybe, when you call them to schedule a pick up, let them know so the pick up guy would bring one along for you.

Finally my status got updated today - Police Clearance Certificate has been printed successfully on 23/06/2020.

After this status how many days it took to get the certificate in hands?

I think this is being asked only at Ottawa. Got this from BLS Ottawa for processing at High Commission of India; Ottawa - submitted ITA letter to BLS email and status updated to application complete ready for processing at HCI within 30 mins

1. Kindly provide the Purpose and Document for seeking PCC must be ascertained official communication from the Concerned authorities as follows:

a). ITA( Invitation to apply:- under express entry) / ONIP ( if applying under Ontario nomination) and for Quebec (CSQ).

Did this resolve for you ? I am curious why would one centre ask and the other one doesn't for ITA.

I only got payment response which does not mention any return receipt. I think this process is way too complicated then it should be =) but what do I know.

That works too. Just take a print out of that payment response (ensure it has the transaction number - that's all they need). Alternatively, you can download receipt from the following link::

I choose pick up and drop off, paid and only got the receipt.
When i enter my transaction number in doenload the purolator label site
I only get my paid receipt there.
there is no label that got generated.

Hi Friends,

A couple of doubts

1) I paid for both pick-up and drop-off. Received a prepaid pick-up label and I affixed it on an envelope and send it via Purolator. Didn't notice any return sort of label. Do I need to do any on this?

2) On the Purolator site, the package showing delivered to the Brampton office. But No tracking on the BLS site when I searched with Passport. May I know will tracking will be enabled after how many days?

Can someone help with this?
