Congratulations. What visa did he get? Work or visitor. What reason u mentioned under essential travel to get authorization?Yes he did get and we are in canada finally.

It was actually refused back in Dec saying that you have not established that your reasons for travel are non optional. I gave reason that I need help with newborn as I am a single parent.So you have the visitor visa for your mother and applied for authorization. that what reason she gave to get authorization for his husband as both husband & mother are immediate family members but need an authorization for essential travel in case of immediate family member of temporary resident
They both have work permits so different circumstances.It was actually refused back in Dec saying that you have not established that your reasons for travel are non optional. I gave reason that I need help with newborn as I am a single parent.

I read that husband does not have a job offer in Canada now as he had a closed work permit & wife spouse open WP.They both have work permits so different circumstances.
Ok I thought your isssue was your mother wanted written authorization to travel. Apologize that you were asking about travelling on a work permit. The OP had an open work permit and a job offer but husband did not have job offer. Based on recent posts it soundsikr you do have a spouse although you may have very recently separated. Perhaps you meant you were the lone caregiver versus being a single parent.
