For Indian Marriages, Nikahnama alone is not accepted. Every Indian must have Marriage Certificate by either the Hindu Marriage Act of 1955 or the Special Marriage Act of 1954

How do you know your PR gets rejected because of Marriage Certificate? Usually, IRCC gives 30 days to produce any additional document.

I have filed many applications from India and Pakistan. For Indian Nikahnama, till now everyone gets Marriage Certificate from either State Govt or Register of Marriages. While for Pakistani Clients, NIkahnama always work.

My contact details are in my signature, so you can connect there.

Hello All. In order to save time can a Muslim couple get married in court, and obtain the marriage certificate, rather than waiting for nikah to conclude and then getting your marriage registered?

Yes, you can do that. Get a marriage certificate from court. That's the only document required to prove marriage. Other documents are optional.
