Is it possible for an expired CoPR holder approved prior to March 18, 2020 to travel with new documents with issuance date after March 18, 2020?
GC key account shows final decision date as the latest one. Only trace of application approved prior to March 18, 2020 is counterfoil and first CoPR. Old counterfoil details do exist in account.

As ur file was approved before 18th March you are exempted..you have the old copr as the proof that you are exempted.I had asked IRCC on twitter once they replied that our original file approval date will be considered for identifying exemption.

Hi there, I got my COPR approved prior to March 18, 2020, and got expired on 17 July 2020. I am now able to travel but with the new update that I cannot use Webform. What should I do? should I just wait? I was wondering is there anyone who is in the same boat and has been contacted by IRCC without raising a ready to travel webform? what is the time span I should keep in mind in which they can contact me. I am a little worried as I have left my job and my wife is pregnant and her Due date is in June 2021. Thanks

If you are coming to Canada to reunite with your immediate family members with an expired COPR, you can travel if the airlines allows and you have no exit control from the country you are travelling from.
So does that mean spouse with an expired Copr can come to canada to reunite with immidiate family member permanently and doesn’t need to wait for AL? The only catch being our country of origin should not have any exit control or if airline allows right? Or you meant spouse can travel on TRV to meet immediate family? @Canaspirant xyz @crackMBA @nayaskumar can you provide input?

You have to go through the rules. I am not too sure sure about it. They are not encouraging hoping because they do not want people to halt at multiple locations and increase the chances of infection.
If it is mentioned in your COPR/application that your final destination is Winnipeg, immigration officer may question you.
Please check at your end.
I will.
Thank you for your reply.
Cheers!

Any possibilities of AL emails today? I got my profile updated with new counter foil on Thursday. New expiry date is 27 Feb.
Same case with me as well. Got my profile updated with new counterfoil valid till 27 Feb 2021 on 7 Jan 2021, but haven't got the AL so far!

I hope that by next week we will get it. I will keep you posted regarding the same.

Hello everyone,

See below my case:

AOR 22Oct2019.
  • PPR 13Mar2020.
  • Passport submitted for counterfoil on 16Mar2020.
  • Passport returned without CoPR or counterfoil on 19Mar2020 due to office closure related to COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Local Office contacted in Jun2020 to issue CoPR and counterfoil for passport.
  • Local office approved the issuing of CoPR and counterfoil on passport.
  • CoPR issue on 09Jun2020 with expiry date 22Oct2020.
  • Webform sent on 01Oct2020 requesting CoPR extension because CoPR/counterfoil were near to expiry.
  • IRCC answer with more queries.
  • Webform (not using the specified email fo AL) sent on 14Oct2020 answering the queries.
  • IRCC answered our webform that they forwarded our answer to local office.
  • On 30Nov2020 we receive a ghost update .
  • On 18Dec2020 we had an update on our approval of medical exams.
  • On 23Dec2020 IRCC sent on 7 point email.
  • In the webform answering the 7 point email we clearly detailed ALL the timeline above and saying we are ready to travel.
  • On 08Jan2021 application updated with “Application Transfer” mentioning that we answered the 7 point email saying we were ready to travel. Also it was requested to us to send: plans to settle (document to support living situation, employment plan), plans to quarantine and proposed/confirmed itinerary.

We haven’t answered the “Application Transfer” yet and we are afraid if they are really considering the information provided about the CoPR issue date of Jun2020.

In the case they issue a AL, do you think it is safe to travel even though we clearly stated the CoPR was issued on Jun2020?

Hi guys, for ArriveCan app what should I check when it asks for the type of Exempt travel? The options are 1)cross border services, 2)essential services 3)medical support services 4)trade or transport
