Hello,

Can the pick up address for two way courier services(India) be different from that on passport?
In other way can we get the passport pick up and delivery from any location instead of the permanent address on the passport?
Please advise.Has anyone any clarity on this?

I am sure they go by what address you give to them after PPR, they won't care what's inside PPT

Good evening all,
I‘m hoping to get some help. My friend sponsored his wife last January. They received notice that the file was transfer to the Accra visa office back in September 2020, and haven’t heard back since.

Today they decided to track the application, and realized that medical request was sent out on Nov 12, 2020. However, they still have not received it.

My questions are:
1. What are the implications of missing the medical deadline?
2. Will the issue a new medical request if we ask for it?
3. How do I get in touch with cic?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Looks like sponsor is not reading e-mails. Now try phoning them, Call the IRCC Call Centre (1-888-242-2100), from within Canada only, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm local time try near closing time ,,let her finish the lecture, then press 3,,1,,0 If was able to help you there is a LIKE icon ;)

I am new to this forum so I'm not sure what all the abbreviations mean but here is some information regarding my husband's January application which was approved in November.

  • My husband and I live in the Caribbean. I am a Canadian citizen (non resident) and he is a native of the Caribbean and a UK national.
  • January - Application submitted to the office in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada
  • February - Email from IRCC acknowledging the application was received.
  • February - I was able to link our application to the online system.
  • February - Received a letter saying I meet the eligibility requirements to be my husband's sponsor.
  • February - Medical requested and completed.
  • March - Biometrics requested and completed.
  • Both the Bio and Medical showed up on our CIC account within a couple weeks after we completed them.
  • October - We received a passport request letter stating we had to send his passport and two new photos within 30 days. We sent this to the IRCC office located in Jamaica. We were able to select any office and this is the one closest to our country of residence.
  • November - Within a couple weeks, we received his passport back with the COPR letters and instructions. Our COPR expires one year from when we did the medical so we are going to Canada in a few weeks. :)
We were never asked to do an interview or submit any new information. Our application has no dependants. So far, it has been a very smooth process. I can provide further update after our landing in Canada in February.

Hope that helps!
Congratulations...... I am curious after the biometrics and medical was done did you get any email or anything about the file moving to a visa office?
