My Canada Express Entry Application has Delayed for 1 year and 10 Months

Help my express entry application has delayed for 1 year and 10 months. My application is a family application (Myself, wife, and 1 child). I have ordered for my GCMS notes several times, and everything looks fine. I spoke with an IRCC staff and I was told everything looks fine, but my application was still undergoing security/background check. According to my GCMS notes and what is showing up on my profile, it seems this security/background check has now been going on for over a year. Does anyone know what might be happening or a possible way out?

All suggestions will be most appreciated.

Enhances security screening. Which unfortunately in some cases, can take a lengthy amount of time. Not much you can do except wait it out.

Thanks Navinball. The variance in the duration of security screening for different applicants is just a bit surprising. Especially since I have friends (with history and predicaments similar to mine) who scaled through the entire process in less than 7months. I have to say, waiting endlessly is not the easiest thing to do.

It might just be bad luck, your application got frozen during the coronavirus shutdown, and now no one has yet picked it up again to complete your checks.
