I came to Canada in 2018 on a student visa, applied November 19th 2020 for my pr with my common law partner that I have been with since September 2018. On the 21st I received my biometrics reminder. Today, I received a different biometrics reminder that has today’s date and I’m confused? I already paid for my biometrics.
also, I wanna apply for my open work permit, how do I go about that?
One last thing, in the section where you prove that you have a genuine relationship, they asked for a max of 20 pictures with my name and date of birth on the back. I forgot to put that on the back. Should I call them and ask to correct?
thank you in advance for all your help.

1. Did you get a biometrics fee reminder or a letter with biometrics instructions? Are the letters you got identical?

2. You needed to apply for the OWP when you applied for PR, it had to go in the same application package. You can try to submit a paper application and see what happens, but it may not be processed.

3. You can't call them and ask to correct issues with stuff you've submitted. They'll either accept it or return it to you for deficiencies. If they return it, it may be in a few months.

* it was an automated message that has a file. Inside of it, it states it’s a reminder to pay for the biometrics fees. And yes, they are identical except for the date of issue, the first was the 21st, the second was today’s, the 23rd.

* I have read somewhere here that some people apply for it after their pr application. Hopefully someone can clarify.

that sucks.. I’ve read that some people forgot a signature and they sent it online, and other peopleforgot a zip code and got it back...

1. The biometrics reminder has to be manually processed. If they're identical, don't worry.

2. The official rule with spousal work permits is that you have to include the application in your PR application. Has to be sent at the same time. You can only submit online after you've received "approval in principle," which happens about a month or two before your PR application is finalized. Some people try to send it in separately, never hear back, get PR, and some people send it in separately and get it 4-5 months later. The rule is that it is supposed to be in the same package or else they don't know it's for a spousal PR application.

3. Sucks yes. You still can't call them and ask them to fix something, especially since the call center doesn't even handle applications.
