Background check not started

Hello Friends!

I have applied for FSW-O and my AOR is 10th of September.
Medicals were passed on 7th October and Biometrics submitted on 12th of October.

My background check shows it has not started yet. What could be the reason for the delay?

Does is it mean that they are still reviewing my eligibility?

I have applied through an agent, so can I raise any webform with my email Id?P

Point to note- Agent has used another email Id which is accessed by him only.

Please shed some light on my doubts.

Processing is 6+ months so you are well within the processing timelines. No delays yet but COVID is the reason.

Difficult to tell because of the covid19 delays. Did you pay RPRF upfront? If not, when your consultant asks you to pay, you will know that your eligibility was passed by an assistant. Will have to be passed f further down the road by an officer at the final stages.

Yes I have paid RPRF in advance. I am in a dilemma whether I should raise a webform using my mail id? Agent has used another e-mail ID while lodging my application.

Why don't you trying calling them at 1-888-242-2100. However you need to have a Canadian phone number to do so. I use Fongo World. Others are mentioning TextNow. Basically any app that allows you make a call using VOIP and a Canadian phone number.

1-888-242-2100. It will have a long talk abt covid-19 and generic info until you are asked you to choose the number according to your inquiry. Just press 2, then 1, then 1 and finally 0 to speak to somebody. The waiting time should be 30+ minutes. Try calling around 9 am EST

It will not. I called and sent web forms more than 10 times altogether in 6 months.

I haven't called yet but today I got mail asking for passport submission. Is this the golden mail? Though progress bar is not complete

Passport submission email is the golden email as it is said here. Congrats my friend. You are one step closer to PR!

Thanks for the prompt reply. I am an Indian citizen residing in Australia. It was fairly quick. Two days back my background had not started.

Can you please tell me that after PPR what are the steps they go through?

Does this mean that my application has been approved and finalised, as I haven't noticed any change on my CIC account?

They have received my passport today morning at VAC Sydney Australia. Any idea how long does it take to get passport stamped and returned?
