Hi,

Currently I am in India, My organization initiated the Canada Work permit on July 2019. I completed my medicals(approved) on September 2019 and My work permit has been approved and stamped on July-2020. Now I want to move to Canada based on organization need. Since my medicals got expired, my organization wants to re do my medicals. So I did the medical assessments on 08th, December 2020, there one of the result was positive(vdrl). Physician advised to start the treatment and send the treatment report to Physician once its done(three weeks). I have started the treatment based on Physician advise. Now I have few questions.

1. As per Physician advise, if I completed the treatment Will I be eligible to start my travel plan to Canada ?
2. Do I need to wait for any approval from Canada Immigration ? In that case how much time it will take to get the approval from IRCC after my submission of treatment report ?
3. Procedure fairness letter from IRCC is applicable for me ?(Since I already got the stamping in my passport)
4. Any possibility for medical rejection ?

I am really confused and scared. Please advise.

Regards,
Kumar

1. You will almost certainly need to re-do the medical after your treatment has been completed and receive approval from IRCC before you will be able to travel to Canada.
2. Yes, see above. Hard to say how long this will take.
3. I'm not sure I understand this question.
4. If you complete the treatment and pass a follow up medical, there shouldn't be a problem.

Thank you for your reply scylla. Now I have completed my treatment(Penidure Injection for three weeks to cure the Syphilis) and sent the detailed diagnosis report to my physician where I took the medical checkup.
The latest update is "Physician will send the diagnosis report to Canada Immigration and I have to wait till get back from Canada Immigration".
Now What may happen next and how much time it may take in anyone's past experience ?
Since just I completed the treatment even though Immigration requested for re-do the vdrl again it may come positive (it may take some time up to 6 months to turns the results negative). Now my worries are I may loose the project opportunity. Any suggestions please ?

Unfortunately there's not much you can do but wait and hope the medical comes through clear. Good luck and hope it works out.
