Here's the situation: My study permit expires on July 31, 2021, My school ends on February 18, 2021 and I am planning on applying for pgwp once I receive my final grades and completion letter which should be in the month of March. Can I work part-time while waiting for the decision on my pgwp? or should I cease working entirely until my pgwp gets approved? Let me know! Thanks!

You can work full time once you have applied for your pgwp as you will be on implied status but do remember to stop working as soon as you receive your final grades or any other intimation that you have completed your course until you apply for pgwp

And just to add to this, you can only work full-time after applying for the PGWP if :

a) your study permit states that you are able to work off-campus
b) your study permit is valid on the date you apply for the PGWP (apply within 90 days of course completion)

I'm having all sorts of problems at the moment because I had to extend my study permit and the new one was missing the condition stating I was authorised to work (despite still meeting all eligibility criteria). I sent it to be amended, but it expired before they fixed it, I had to apply for a new study permit extension, then finished my course while that was being processed.

90 days after course completion, IRCC still hasn't processed my study permit application, and despite having a full-time job offer at a company literally developing a COVID-19 vaccine with $18 million in federal grants, where I have already worked 2 years part-time, I am probably about to get deported in the middle of a fucking pandemic, to a personal cost of several thousand dollars.

There is very little chance of being deported especially anytime soon.
