Rejection post RPRF?

That means that eligibility, criminality and medical have been reviewed and passed by an assistant.
Next an officer must confirm and pass them. Then security and background will start.
If someone gets rejected after RPRF, most likely it would be because of security because the officer most of the time goes with what the assistant approved

My Background Check status is now changed to: "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.", which according to what has been frequently mentioned, is an indication of the ip1 phase..
Could they have requested RPRF before even beginning the background check and even before the ip1?

I was under the impression that the background check involved looking into the eligibility documents, however, there is a separate status for the eligibility progress,..
Does the RPRF request have something to do with eligibility (verifying work experience etc..) or background check separate progresses?
Eligibility check deals with your work experience in the chosen NOC code as well as your proof of funds. If everything is in order then you are eligible for the express entry program. I don’t know why but I believe it is at this point that they request RPRF.Thank you!

Background check is a combination of criminality and security checks that use your police certificate and biometrics info. Usually the police certificate takes care of the criminality part. But security check doesn’t happen until after an officer reviews your application and approves your eligibility that was previously approved by an assistant. After security is passed, your application gets approved. But there is a final review done to make sure that every thing is still valid (passport, medical, etc.) and then we get PPR (passport request for visas) if applicable.
Today my BGC status on Gckey changed to:
Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
It used to be:
We are processing your background check we will send you a message if we need more information
What does this mean? Is this normal? I've asked many people and their BGC says We are processing your background check we will send you a message if we need more information since AOR1

It means an officer probably reviewed your file and requested the background check be initiated. Your file is moving again!
