Hello there, my AOR date was 16th May 2018 and passed my medicals on 6th June 2018. Since then no update on my application status. Please tell me how much time (approximately) does it take to move to next stage.
Thanks in advance..

It's different for everyone. I've been in IP1 for 4.5 months but others move to IP2 much quicker, even in less than 2 months.

With that said, according to some experts you can get the PPR e-mail even if your status shows IP1, so I wouldn't pay much attention to that as sometimes the CIC website doesn't reflect the real status for your application.

Thanks for the reply :)
Moreover, I also heard from some people that July-August time is a bit busy season as there is intake of foreign students in Canada. And for the same reason general PR process is delayed. Is it true? or just general assumptions made by people?

Well, I haven't heard that to be honest. I hope it is not true, I want this wait to be over.:(

I agree this wait is really killing. What's your Application status? IP1 is it? And where are you located, India?

Still in IP1, I'm applying from Latin America.

Hi Arod, did you eventually get PR? If yes, how long did it take? I have been stuck in IP1 for over two months and people with much later AOR dates have since moved to IP2.

Hi Solacanada,

Yes, I got my PR after almost 9 months of wait. It is normal to see people with AOR's from later dates have their applications processed sooner, so no need to worry.
