Hi everyone,

I am 40 year old having becholer degree in commerce and law, also qualified company secretary (CS). Having work experience of around 15 years in India as CS and taking care of corporate governance, financial and legal matters in big corporate houses in India.

I want to migrate to Canada. As my age is 40 years, I feel it is difficult to get the Federal express entry. Could you please let me know, can I get nomination from any province and how.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Dorewal

Thanks for your quick response. Yes I am eligible (my points are 74). Law degree has not yet been assessed. As of now I don't know NOC code because it is different for accounts, legal work and corporate governance profession. I have been doing all these work. Could you please tell me how to check for Saskatchewan.

My CRS is around 437. Is there any way for lawyer to get PR of Canada. NOC for my profession is 0111. I have law degree but not practicing as lawyer only working in corporate don't possess practice license.

Your best path is express entry because with that NOC you will not get a nomination. You need a provincial license. With 437, you must have a sibling living in Canada so look at the province they are living in. You don’t get points for certification as that is for trades.

Hi, exact NOC code for my profile would be 0114. I am taking care of the profile mentioned in this NOC code. Could you please tell me which province can nominate for this profile and what are possibility.

No province can nominate you unless your score is high enough. Look at Saskatchewan and see what your score is.

But if I am not wrong when some province nominate someone, it gives 600 point to the applicant. When someone gets 600 point, then score would cross 1000 points. In my case I have around 450 points.

Ok. may I ask how you have 450 points? Yesterday you said you had 437. I am guessing around 421. For example for Ontario, your NOC is not on the demand list and the CRS scores have been over 460 just to be considered. To be nominated for a province you need to meet their scoring criteria and have your NOC listed for that draw. So for example, what is your score out of 100 for Saskatchewan? If you have 68+ then a nomination may be possible.

Thank you for your reply.
I have told around 450 not exact. Actually I have not given language test, so when I consider best score in language test and after considering my wife education and experience etc. it comes around 450. Actual may be lesser.
Anyway way thank you for your response.
