Lost Old Cancelled Passport

I lost my Old Cancelled Passport which I am not using for the past 5 years. Is it mandatory to submit my old cancelled passport while applying for a Canadian visa? If so what alternate document I can submit instead of lost old passport. Can anyone here advise me regarding this issue?

You need to apply for the study permit using your new passport. If you have any visa refusals on your old passport, you will need to mention these in your application.
