Thanks for sharing your experience. Yes we are US Citizens so we can come and go as visitors at any time (assuming the border crossing still allows immediate family). So if we wait until we are in Toronto to put in a change of address, any idea how long it might be before a final decision? And what if nothing has moved and we have to return after 4-5 weeks of staying in Toronto?

There's no guarantee that it will assist with your file. There are applicants whose parents are in canada on supervisa, and they have been able to do virtual landing and for others, it has not made a difference. Another thing to keep in mind is that if you are visiting over christmas, IRCC will be closed down so there won't be much going on.
Once you return to the US, you will have to once again update your address to your US address.
Maybe I linked my application to the cic account just yesterday and the message box is empty. I dont find the COPR is there but in only document status area. Do you know what number I can try to inquire this?

Hi! Somebody have a resolution for problem with linking application to account?I am a representative for my father, if somebody representative for parents too and have same experience please let me know how exactly you linked your application, I am trying all possible answers, and no success(((

It can be linked on GCKEY account of and with primary applicant. If you are representative then you can link in your account
