Do u have any idea what was the next step? Why ircc ask us to apply for work permit again? Should we apply for work permit or wait for the final decision? plz help
If it is less than 4 months to expire date of work permit then apply. However if you got aip it is very likely that you get DM in few days.

Hello everyone. I got this request for my family in July:

"This letter refers to your application for permanent residence. On July 31st, 2018, biometrics (fingerprints and a photograph) became a requirement for some IRCC applicants. Your application was received on or after July 31st, 2018. After a summary review of your application, it was determined that the requirement applies to you and your dependents:- .......

In order for IRCC to process your application, you must complete/submit the following to this office by 2020-07-23 (formatted as “year/month/day”):

Note: You only need to pay biometric fees at this time. When your application is processed, you will receive further instructions on when and how to give your biometrics."

So, I paid for biometrics and submitted the information that they asked for. However, yesterday I talked to my lawyer and he said that my family should make an appointment for biometrics themselves, but in the file, it clearly says that immigration will make an appointment.

Please give me any advice. Should I make an appointment for my family or wait for the immigration to do so. Any thoughts are welcomed. Thank you all!
As far as I know, you'll have to wait a few months to be able to book your family in overseas for biometric. If your spouse can do it in home country, good. If not, you'll help them book it from Canada on the overseas website where they are. I helped my wife booked hers on Canada embassy, South Africa portal website and she'd completed her biometric now but this was only after maybe, a year when I paid for her biometric fees as well as mine the same day. When it's time for your spouse overseas to give biometric, you'll get a letter from IRCC with the instructions and in it, you'll be asked not to pay that the letter sent to you is all your spouse needs as a proof of payment in home country to get biometric done. Goodluck!
