Hi. I'm in South Africa (a citizen of RSA) and I don't qualify for the express permit because of my age, formal education level and the fact that I am single.
Why can't it count that I have 11 years experience in my field and at the top of my industry (TV Producer) and have won awards for shows I produced and/or worked on. I am 41 and own my own property, SUV and motorcycle. All policies and "life" payments made without the assistance of a partner.
I don't understand why I should be penalized for that.
Regardless, I have been told if I can find a job in Canada I could still get a work permit/VISA but how do you differentiate between the scammers and the legit recruiters?
Thanks

You're not being penalized for lacking a partner. People's points are almost always lower when they include a partner in their application. It actually benefits you from a points perspective to be single.

Your main issue is your age. You've lost significant points by being in your 40's. If you don't have higher education, that will certainly impact your score too.

As said in your other thread, finding a job in Canada is unfortunately next to imnpossible. Stay away from all recruiters and agents. Only apply for jobs directly with employers.

If you want to immigrate, your best option is to qualify without having a job offer (because the chances of securing a job offer are so low).

If you don't have the 470+ points required for Express Entry, you may want to look into the Self Employment immigration stream.
