According to me ,immediate family members don’t need exemptions letter.

If her family are PRs or citizens with a valid visitor visa, authorization is not needed.

Depends on whether the parent is traveling on a super visa or visitor visa. If super visa, then one way is fine. If visitor visa, it needs to be return.

how long would you think the return ticket should be for? 6 months does sound enough time for family reunification, so the longer the better?

Shorter is usually better. If it's too long it can make IRCC / CBSA concerned the individual has plans on remaining in Canada long term.

Does your parent already have an approved TRV? Are you a Canadian citizen or PR?

Which document should I have to show relationship to mother . As Canadian passport does not have any names on it . As I became citizen in feb 2020. So I have Expired Indian passport that shows mothers name . Can I use that one . Please advise
