Thank you so much for clarifying this for me. It is a huge relief. Yes I am in process of arranging and filling up all these required documents. It says, if applicable, attach proof of payment. Can I pay spouse visa fee in advance before even having my application re-opened again? Thanks again.
Yes, you can pay the application fee and the RPRF for online and attached the payment receipts when you submit your documents. https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp

@legalfalcon I received COPR last week but they mentioned my full name on both last name and given name field. But my passport only has Given name and no last name. When I applied for CEC, I wrote my given name in last name field and left given name field blank. Is this normal to have twice name on COPR?

Hi @legalfalcon Regarding proof of funds for FSW EE, I am getting a letter from the bank, but the amount in my Checkings and Savings account changes depending on my transactions. So how many days before should I get the letter from the bank? What would be the best thing to do? Please suggest.
Thank you

@legalfalcon
Confused regarding travel history. It says mention any trips outside your country of origin or residence.
  1. Country of origin : India
  2. Country of residence : United States
  3. I have entered all my visits for study, work and tourism, because I first came to the USA for study, so that was a travel from India to the United States. So I included the purpose as study.
  4. Every time I went back home from the USA to India, I have included those trips as well , as visiting family/tourism.
  5. Then from India to the USA, I have included the purpose as continuing study.
Have I done it correctly? My address history mentions places I have lived in as well, and the time for stay might overlap with my travel dates, but that particular location was my address in the USA officially, so that is what I have mentioned. This is really confusing. Please guide.

@legalfalcon Hi. For one of my past employers, the current HR of the company has provided me with the required letter, as the person who managed me does not work there anymore. He left soon after I left. The current HR manager of the company was not there at the time I was working, but she has provided me with a reference letter and verified all my details as well. Is that a problem? The instructions on the Canada immigration website said that I could get a letter from a "personnel officer" at the company as well, which I believe is the HR. So I received a letter from her. I read somewhere though that social media presence may create an issue. I am worried now. Please guide.

If you do not have a last name, then your given name will be entered in both the given name and the last name fields as the last name field cannot be left blank.

So no need to worry this is normal.

When you submit the PoF, you have to show that you meet the average 6 months balance for the PoF, i.e the funds should have been in your account for at least 6 months or more. If you do not meet the average balance requirements, then you have to show where the funds came from

For proof, you must get official letters from any banks or financial institutions where you’re keeping money.

Letter(s) must

  • be printed on the financial institution’s letterhead
  • include their contact information (address, telephone number and email address)
  • include your name
  • list outstanding debts such as credit card debts and loans
  • include, for each current bank and investment account, the
    • account numbers
    • date each account was opened
    • current balance of each account
    • average balance for the past 6 months

The security usually starts after the eligibility is conclusively passed.

Hi @legalfalcon My valid passport do you mean not expired? Also, the stamps on the passport are not completely clear. Are the stamps used for comparison with the travel history I mentioned? What is the objective of the passport scan?
IRCC only wants a clear and legible copy of the biographical data page of a passport or travel document. However, the MyCIC upload window asks for a scan of all valid and expires visas and markings. It does not matter that the markings are not clear.

This is confusing, so ideally you should just list all travels, irrespective of whether they were outside COR or COC. So what you did is fine.

Any person in your organisation can issue a letter it does not have to be your immediate supervisor. IRCC clearly states:

a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
  • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
  • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits

[/QUOTE]@legalfalcon Hi. Thank you!. What I was basically concerned about was, that the credibility of the letter should not be questioned because the HR keeps changing. And I worked there three years ago. So, all the people I worked with have left the company. The HR also changed over time. The CEO is there, but the current HR handles all these employee related matters. So I believed that was the most suitable thing to do, was to ask her for the letter. She checked my records and gave me the letter. Does that sound fine?

In all companies people come and go. However, employee records are there and if your employer has given you a letter, you are all good.

Thanks for ur reply, but PR card will be issued with my name twice and my passport has only one. Won’t be that issue while travel at airports?
