Hi

I called cic today and asked many questions. Why are applications getting processed randomly? When can we expect AORs?

Hi Anton,

What did they say ?
We are working on January applications. I asked why did june july get AOR. Reply - maybe they asked for urgent processing

Good news more people back to office work on monday

Yes, generic answer as expected but more people back to office is certainly good news. We may get any minute now I am thinking, stay alert for emails !

Wow, I am moving Nov 16 which means I may try calling too, if by then no AOR.
I believe even if you manage to change your address with them, if they need to return your application they will use the postal address in your application.

Exactly, that is the concern. So just to make sure, mail forward 4 months from Canada post then if that works ?

Some government envelops have do do not forward on them

Anton - were you able to change the address on file on call or online? Im assuming it was done by the agent as online change option will not be available to you yet

Note: Canada Post’s Mail Forwarding Service does not forward parcels and a citizenship application package is considered a parcel. If we need to return your application package to you because it is incomplete, the package will be returned to us instead of being forwarded to the address you have indicated with Canada Post. If your application package is returned to us by Canada Post, it will not be processed.

I will suggest keeping an eye on your old address just in case, you can explain this to the landlord and he can escalate this with the new tenant. Give them your contact in case you have a return application.

I guess I will keep calling IRCC then for updates and to make sure I did not miss anything. Fill the address change form IRCC , mail forward, Change info on CIC. Hopefully we all get AOR emails and wont have to keep wondering!

Anton, cool. Thanks for the information. But I thought you need AOR to update your address. Does it mean that after reception they can still give you information or update before AOR? Hmmm... When I called them about my question whether to refill the application form or not, CIC agent was useless. She could not answer the questions properly. She said " What does your letter say?" i answered Nothing about re-filling just complete information. The answer "....Crickets..." Well, hopefully they will not return it back again LOL
