Team, This is the status I see in my application/profile details... Earlier at-least it used to show when my medical was done in Dec 2019. But as part of the so called Ghost update, that date has also vanished. Its absolute generic status and they don't need anything from me. :). Almost 1 year completed with the AOR. Does anybody see status like this? Or you all see dates for when your medical, criminal and security was done...
@legalfalcon Sir, is this common? seems like my status is going backwards. Thanks for your help.

Hello @legalfalcon

Need your inputs on the below points regarding my application (AOR November 2019)

1. I was recently told by the IRCC agent that my medicals have been extended till April 2022 (more than 1.5 years) which is rather odd as most of the applicants have had there meds extended by either 6 months or 1 year. what could be the reason?

2. I had raised a request for gcms notes last month and recently received extension of 90 days. The first copy of gcms notes (raised in June) confirmed that the application has been approved since April. Not sure why this would happen.

Can you please share your inputs on this and advice what next steps could be taken in this regard. Thanks @legalfalcon

1. The meds extension is at the discretion of IRCC. It can be for a few months months, to over a year.

2. IRCC lately has been sending out extensions. Even though the Office of the Information Commissioner held such extensions invalid in July 2020, but I am sure this time IRCC is pleading COVID. They did is for some extensions in July too, which was not accepted by OIC. IRCC has been facing delays and extensions for sometime and OIC has already initiated a systematic investigation against IRCC and was announced in the Parliament.

Does it make sense to order another copy of gcms or should we wait for the 90 days extension?

I was expecting the notes to be more or less same as first copy received in July as the application was already approved, but the 90 day extension came as a surprise.

If your medicals had expired or were about to expire, IRCC will send them for reassessment to the Regional Medical Officer who will make a determination on it whether to extend or ask for remeds. Most meds are being extended and of your medicals have been sent for a reassessment, that is why you no longer see them in your MyCIC.

Dear @legalfalcon,

Is there any update regarding expired COPRs and the ones which are about to expire?

The expiry of my COPR is 22/12/2020 and I still cannot travel coz of the travel restrictions since I’m living in UAE. Even if they remove the restrictions at the end of this month, I will be left out with only 22 days which is not enough to prepare myself for the permanent landing (giving notice to the employer, cancelling tenancy etc.)

I was stressed till I get the PPR and now this thing bothers me a lot. Will there be a chance of losing my PR if I won’t land before 22/12/2020.

your response is highly appreciated as always.

Hi ! Yesterday I received 2 GU. The first one didn't change anything in my profil. The second was an adr. They ask me to send proof that my sister in law is actually in Canada. They said that we can send Residential lease or mortgage document or utility bill (electricity, gas). The problm is that all of that documents are on name of her husband.
Please @legalfalcon how can we manage this ?

You can send any of the following:

A residential lease
Mortgage documents
Utility bills
Credit Card Statements
Bank Statement
Cellphone bill
Internet bill

Ant similar document that shows the name of the relative and the address at which they reside.

It is worth noting that the documents would need to be current to the six months prior to the submission of the application

You will not lose your cOPR. If your COPR expires, you can ask IRCC to extend it.
