AOR date : March 19,2020 (CEC inland). Asked to redo medical on Nov 1 as previous medical was done in Jun 2019. Anybody in same situation? Is it a good sign to ask for redo of medical?

@legalfalcon I wonder if you or someone else could possibly give an answer to the following question.

Does everyone in my application (my spouse and I) receive the same COPR expiration date even if our medical expiration dates differ?

My medical is expiring on the 26th of November 2020, but the officer has requested the Regional Medical Officer to request an extension, but it doesn't seem that they are doing the same for my spouse that has a medical expiration date of 17 February 2021.

If COPR dates will be different then should my spouse and I rather go for medicals again on the same date? My wife's medical expiration date is not far away enough and will not have enough time to resign (this is now if Canada even lifts the restrictions before then).

Hey guys, thought I'd share this update with you guys. My application got approved on Oct 27th but I was super worried about not receiving my official COPR document in my email and even called IRCC a couple of days ago asking for a status update. Long story short, I received my COPR document yesterday, but it went to the law firm I worked with for my Closed work permit with my company. Even though I applied for PR on my own, because I had worked on a work permit extension a couple of months ago, they probably linked my UCI with my lawyer and sent the COPR to my lawyer instead. So if anyone is in a similar boat, just make sure you check with your lawyer!

AOR Mar 31, CEC-inland
did you get any email earlier or you had to sign in to see if the application is approved?

Yes. But the email doesn't automatically get generated. I could see that COPR was issued on the portal, but I was waiting for that golden email that has a pdf version of the COPR attached. That was sent to my lawyer's email, not mine, even though I never listed my lawyer's email for my PR application.
So what you mean is that some people receiving email, while others are receiving physical mail of CoPR? Is it possible that someone gets both?

no idea about that but I just know that CEC - inland candidates generally get COPR via email

When the COPR is issued they will all have the same expiration date and the date will depend on when your meds expire, your passports expire. The cOPR cannot be issued beyond the expiry date of the meds and the passport.

When the documents are issued, it will be seen when the first expiry of meds / passport happens and that will be the date beyond which the COPR will not be extended.

Hi, Did you have this request after Bio completed (exempted)? when your bio exempted or completed?
