Hey guys. I know it’s a silly question but can anyone who’s gotten PR from a visa exempt country fill me in on the process? Are we still going to get PPR or do they just mail the COPR? We got DM almost a week ago and pre-arrival notices the same day but no PPR yet so I’m a bit curious as to what the process is. My husband is from the US.

Edit: PR during Covid!

Hello all, looking for advise on a particular situation.

My application was received on February 13th, 2020. I still haven't received AOR1. Last time I contacted IRCC by phone, they told me that my application had been opened and that they had started to breviewed it BEFORE covid hit, but that it hasn't been picked back up since. I was given a temporary application number and told to submit another web form. I've submitted half a dozen webforms throughout this process and they always come back saying the same thing: your application has been received and will be processed based on the order in which it was received. I confirmed on the phone with the agent that my application was indeed received on Feb. 13th. The last webform I submitted I outlined my situation, explained the conversation I had on the phone with the IRCC agent, but I still got the same automated response. I'm wondering now if my application will be stuck in limbo until I hit the 1 year mark, when I'll hopefully finally get someone to listen to me. It's very stressful not knowing if my app will be sent back to me or not. I'm almost 100% sure I filled everything out correctly and didn't miss anything, but as more time goes by I start to doubt myself more and more. Does anyone know of anything else I can do besides wait it out?? It seems like just about everyone else who applied in February has received at least AOR1, so I don't really believe that my application is still in the "queue" and just hasn't been picked up again. I have a feeling it's fallen into a grey area because of it being reviewed before covid hit.

Any advise or well wishes welcome!! and congratulations to all who are moving along and completing this stressful process.

Thank you all

I have no advice to offer - just letting you know that you are not alone. My application was delivered Feb. 11th and I don't yet have AOR1. According to the tracking sheet there are two others with delivery dates before me with no AOR yet.

Can I ask where you are from? I'm from a visa exempt country and starting to think that I may be considered low priority because I can (Covid restrictions notwithstanding) still travel to Canada and complete my application there.

Sorry to hear you're in the same boat, though it does make me feel a little better knowing I'm not the only one. I'm from the US so also visa exempt, I hadn't considered that that could be a factor. I'm actually applying outland from within Canada so that may have something to do with it, too.

Honestly what gives me the most anxiety is this first stage. The thought of having to resubmit and push everything to the end of the line is a daunting one.

Hopefully we hear something soon!

being inland you're probably not as desperate as outlands but you should try sending webforms and keep calling until you get some answers otherwise you might want to ask to void your current application and reapply because most US applicants I've seen get their files completed in 8-10 months
