Any idea when PPRs maybe issued for applicants in India? How do the new travel restrictions apply to us? Further delays?

Hello All, I am new to this group and have submitted all the documents and received my AOR this 24th Oct 2020. Just wanted to know what's the timeline of Medical and background check completion. Note: I am moving through PNP

Hello all,

I applied through the FSWP and AOR was January 28th.

All stages are valid according to webform as at end of June. I haven't heard from them till now :(.Its getting frustrating as my medicals will expire in January.

Has anybody from Ottawa VO received PPR recently?

To be honest very few as from what I have read about.
As far as medicals are concerned, they will either ask to do remedical or extend medicals accordingly.

Hi guys
Weird thing happened to my medicals:
They expired on August so my profile was updated then and it said no need for medicals.
Now today my profile was updated again and now it reads:
  • October 30, 2020 You passed the medical exam.
At this point they don't even know what they're doing.
They extended your medicals, which is good so you don't have to re-take them again.

  • you’re currently living in the U.S. and will be coming to Canada directly (transiting through the U.S. to Canada doesn’t apply)
What does living mean in this case? What's the definition here? How much time do I have to spend in the US to be considered living?

Hi everyone,

I was requested to complete re-medical in September and which was done within a week. My profile shows I passed medical on 22 Sep However, I haven’t heard anything from it afterwards. Anyone has idea about whether they will issue PPR soon or they only need the medical to be valid and let us wait for another months or a year or so?

AOR: 18 May 2019
EE Outland
Eligibility: passed
Criminal: valid
Security: valid
VO: Ottawa

its from the day you cleared the medical exam. So most likely your COPR expiry date would be 9th March. You can track your EE Application, status should change to "approved" and you will see the "Documents Expiry date".
Thank You. :)

Medical expiry is actually on the day the medical was uploaded in the system. This will normally be between the day medical was taken and the day medical was passed. Check the GCMS notes for the exact medical expiry date.
Thank You. I have submitted the passport yesterday and VAC told me they will return the passport with in 7 to 10 working days. Hopefully all the details will be mentioned there.

After 7 months in since AOR and not even a BIL received , I am moving to another country , received this week my approval for residence visa ( European country) and have an appointment on Novembre 19th to give Biometrics and passport, everything have been completed in less than two months ( applied on September 6th).

City where I m moving is ranked 10th in the world for quality of living , so I m not losing much while waiting there for Canada, IRCC and Canada didn't do much for outlanders since the 18th March restrictions and our file is not moving at all , so I m better of in a country that wanted me despite Covid and got the process move faster ( less than two months).

Good luck to everyone waiting , I will post in here when having an update about my file and/or PPR ( in many many months from now : D) thanks for everyone who have been encouraging in this thread.
Congratulations mate,

Regardless of the final decision you will take about destination, I hope you will find success and satisfaction.

All the best Inchallah

Dear @legalfalcon
Hope you don't mind a quick question.
Today I received a GU. As per my latest GCMS note, my application was approved on October 13th and was transferred to LVO. I haven't heard anything from the LVO yet and my profile still only shows "in progress". Given that today I received a GU (I have never had any GUs before), could it mean anything? like PPR is close?

Cheers.

It might take a while for the next thing to happen because of this pandemic. Many applications have been finalized but no PPRs yet. So I suggest you be patient and relax and followup your application every month by either calling or sending a webform. I hope you hear something back soon though.
