Apart from "bonjour & je m appelle" I know nothing about french, can anyone who started his/her French learning journey from the scratch explain how much time will it take to get clb 7 in French as my second language? Even at 472, I am losing hope.
It took me 7 months. From zero to CLB8/9. Studying everyday around 2h before going to work and 5-7h during weekends.

Great, just be patient, it will be updated
Yeah, I need to be more patient. My boyfriend and I have been working on immigrating to Canada since 2018. We actually accepted that we will never be invited anymore since the scores are now super high and then voilà they announced the score additions for bilingual and francophone candidates yesterday.

The point is: you don’t need 50 points. Sitting at 472, you could focus just on the reading section. Study for 3-4 months, and then pass the TCF to try a CLB7 in Reading only (left everything else blank), and with that you’ll earn valuable 3 points.

Just curious: did you guys know about the previous 30 points bonus?

I suspect the major impact about de +20 points will actually be the fact that now EVERYBODY knows about the bonus. Previously, I realized the VAST MAJORITY of people didn’t know French bilinguism could provide so many points.

Let’s be hopeful! I have seen a lot of people on this forum put in great works. People maxing out in ielts, people learning French May God give u harvest of us desired ITA.
Entered the pool 2019 with 427, improved my score to 457, 459. Lost 5 points in December . TEF took me to 468 in January, pandemic started. Another TEF increase my score to 471 last week, then no draw yesterday. I pray 471 fetch me ITA before December ending ( my birthday) .

Next draw will determine a lot of things. I actually want IRCC to conduct one back to back like they always do every December. Or perhaps they can give us one next month like they did last year August when they skipped a draw.

if at all they also intend to conduct FST draw, it should a specific draw like the last one. but IRcc is very unpredictable.

I am at 471 as well. I know some French but I am probably at A2 or B1. Haven't taken a test yet, but may ultimately have to improve my French and then take a test. My sibling has a PR but currently lives outside Canada so can't claim the points. And I have 4 months left till I lose 15 points on hitting 30 yrs.
