Hey hey.
How is the progress with outland applications amidst Covid??
We stay out of country. Me n kids are citizens. But needtosponsor hubby so we can shift back to Toronto.
Kindly guide me as to how to apply and add any tips or recent experience with the process.

Detailed information about sponsoring your spouse can be found in the links below:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...mily-sponsorship/spouse-partner-children.html

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...l-partner-dependent-child-complete-guide.html

Since you are sponsoring from outside of Canada, you will need to provide evidence with the application to show that you plan to relocate to Canada once your spouse's PR is approved.

For tips and recent experiences, suggest you dedicate time to reading through posts in this section of the forum.

I was going through the instructions to apply. Now about the medical exam... would my husband's mother and married sister also require to go through a medical exam??? Or just I and our kids who already are canadian citizens. It says all family member should go through a medical exam even if they are not applying to come to canada.

Only those who are applying to come to Canada (and also unaccompanying dependents ie children). The forms are a bit confusing on this, unfortunately.

Note that your children who are Canadian citizens won't need medicals either - they are not applying to come to Canada.

Be careful on the forms for the applicant - under the background/personal information form, you include them. On the main application form if you look carefully it says that those who are already citizens should not be included (as citizens cannot apply to become permanent residents). Sorry, I'm blanking right now as to which form is which. The language about not including citizens (even children) is a bit obtuse and hard to understand the first time.

Assuming it is your spouse sponsoring and just you and children with that spouse and children are citizens already (no other dependents), that main form should not have them or anyone else. (i.e. I assume no children from previous marriages or children of children, etc)

This is a constant question that comes up here, double and triple check everything.

Add: I may be confused who is sponsor and who is spouse/principal applicant. Please read the instructions carefully.

If both sponsor and applicant are reside outside canada. Where are we suppose to send our package. In basic guide it said to send to sydney nova scotia and in checklist it says to send to mississauga. I'M CONFUSED. And then when i go through some random threads i see people mentioning they have applied to london office or uae office. Please clarify!!!

Can u please tell me the exact address. I went through this link several times. The notes on the address are so confusing.
They say courier at Nova scotia if applying frm outaide canada and then theres a note saying to use that address only if u r living in canada but using overseas application.
Then second addreas is for inland application.
PlEase provide me the correct address for my situation i.e living together outside canada.
Thanks.

You are saying it. Outland is Nova Scotia. Inland is Mississauga. All depends where the PRINCIPAL APPLICANT is at the time of applying.
