Congratulations to OP on the rare feat of convincing the Abu Dhabi VO that they have strong ties to the GCC even though they're not a citizen there.

Congratulations! I believe you are accepted, just wait till you get the passport request.
Are you born in Kuwait ? I think that is why you have long term ties in Kuwait. I was born in Kuwait too and my father is here since 1970. I am afraid that I might get refused cause I didn’t try to prove my ties to my home country or Kuwait. I mean I just applied and provided what is requested, funds, LOA, residency permit in Kuwait, passport and ID’s nothing more. I didn’t write why I wanted to study this particular master’s and why I chose Canada. I thought it’s unnecessary as I wasn’t asked for it. I have BSc in civil engineering and applied for a MSc in the same field which is self explanatory.
I studied bachelor’s in Jordan which is my home country. I hope that makes me tied to my home country. And I hope being born in Kuwait and my family is settled here would qualify my as long term ties with Kuwait as I really have strong ties here.
I have submitted a request for gcms notes on 21th of October, waiting for the results or the permit itself but kinda anxious. I got accepted into University of Alberta by the way.
Very positive notes. VO is satisifeid and has approved your application. You should get your OPR soon since your DLI is on the approved list. Share the good news when you get it. God bless.
The problem I didn’t even try to show them How I am tied to my home country or Kuwait, I just filled up the documents they provided, and uploaded my own documents. That’s all.Your case is similar to mine, so cheer up
i hope we get OPR soon
answering your question, yeah i and my father born in Kuwait and we lived here since then (except vacation visits to Lebanon..etc.)
I'm a Sri Lankan residing in Bahrain with my parents so I'm very nervous about my application!!Me too, there are tons of people who get approved.
