PR's are supposed to maintain resident status in Canada while their application is in process.
Having said that small trips are fine. I am visiting my spouse in India for the past one month, I got Sponsor approval just now. AOR 21st Oct.
So as long as its a short trip, you should be good.

I got AOR on 21st Oct, was not able to access it yesterday, but today I am able to access it. Also got SA a couple of hours ago.
Hi guys....sorry i am April applicant but thought of keeping Mar applicants in loop. My wife's application was received on Apr 23...received my temp. File number starting with XF a month ago....when i checked the status online on ecas...i put the temp. file no. without X and all other info and it worked. The status currently shows "In Process"
Later i emailed my lawyer and she said she received email from CIC yesterday. The email says "This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2020/04/23 on behalf of the following member(s)"
Does this means, its AOR1 or does it only means the app is just in the system and they haven't started working on it yet.

My husband's application is showing in ECAS but it is showing that they have received it on Aug 4th whereas I have sent it on April 4, they have jumbled month and date, its already too late I afraid if they will process it as an august application, I have given all details of FedEx to cic but no reply so far
Guess CIC is actually working hard this month - after a slow first few weeks. Already more AORs this month than were issued in Feb 2020 ( pre Corona ).
