I have two minors who are now in grade 10. We would like that they completed their high school in Alberta. Can my husband and I accompany then if we have no job there. Can we go on a open work permit? Please advise.

Your minor children will need to obtain study permits and be prepared to pay approximately $15,000 each in annual tuition. They'll need to show another $10,000 to cover living expenses.

Since they are minors, you will need to find someone to act as their guardian in Canada (i.e. someone already living in Canada).

You and your husband can try to get a TRV to come visit temporarily, however you can't really accompany them to Canada.

No, you will not qualify for an open work permit.
