Hi,
Any idea how long it takes from Eligibility Met to Eligibility Passed?
For past 1 month, webform replies mention that eligibility met. GCKey account states that We are currently reviewing of you meet the eligibility requirements. Is it really take that much time once Eligibility is met? CEC AOR is May 5.
biometrics pending. GCKey account also says medicals passed and background check in progress. Any idea if GCMS request should be raised at this stage? thank you

Each application is processed on its own merits and there is no timeline as such. It depends on the VO your application is at, the priority of the office, the number of officers working etc.

While applying online for BOWP, should the answer to the following question be YES if AOR is received -
Have you been told by an Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada office that you are approved in principle for permanent residence in Canada?

Your application is “approved in principle (AIP)” if:

  • you have received a letter from IRCC stating that you meet the permanent residence eligibility requirements, but
  • you still have to pass the medical, security and background checks for you and, if needed, your family members.

The answer would be no.

Hello everyone,

May 8th AOR. EE FSW - Outland ( India). Processing at Ottawa. Received medical passed and Biometrics on July 14th. Pending Biometrics completion in India (waiting for VFS :( )

Raised a webform a couple of months before and it said Eligibitly has met.

As we are nearing 100% of processing, raised one more webform and here is the response (seems generic):

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information on file and can confirm that your application is currently at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, for processing.

You will find below useful information that we hope will help understand the process and current status of your application for permanent residence:

  • The responsible office has verified if your application meets the eligibility requirementsunder the immigration program for which you have applied,
    • you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.
  • The security background verification has not been initiated.
  • The criminal background verification is in process.

Does this mean eligibility has passed? The response seems generic and hence can’t confirm :(

Thinking of going for a GCMS.

thanks

I am in the same scenario. Eligibility recommended passed 3 weeks ago and no movement since. Hopefully we both hear soon!

Did the Gcms Notes reveal any information as to why it's met and not passed, any information in the "notes" section in the last few pages of the file?
