I am FSW with Aug aor / Sep BIL and I got the call today. Not sure if there are fewer applicants in my city. I am surprised because there are others on the spreadsheet with earlier AORs in my city. I am really curious about how they are prioritizing. They've got to be prioritizing in some way, they can't possibly be pulling random names out of a hat.
Maybe those who passed eligibility.

It was a regular number with my city's area code. My husband, who missed his call, tried calling back and it went to that particular SC employee's desk phone voicemail. In a way, this is good because at least it means we can figure out which missed call was from SC and call them back, leave a message, reschedule, etc. I wish they would universally call everyone from a normal number.
Interesting. Did they leave a voice message on your husband's phone?

that is the most logical explanation and i was thinking about it from last few days. The guys who cleared eligibility are getting calls most probably and it makes sense too!

I wish this was true, but it is not true for me as far as I am aware. I called IRCC last week, exactly 7 days ago, to add my husband's number as a secondary number for this SC call. At that time, I asked the agent the status of everything. I was told criminality in progress, eligibility not started, security not started. Now it might have changed in the past 7 days, but I highly doubt they are that efficient.

Yes but I feel bad for those whose eligibility has not started just because they have not given biometrics. I heard from my colleagues who have got this response when they called IRCC.
any ways who Cares for people who are not even confirmed immigrants, they have only to wait.

Can you clarify? Did IRCC tell your friends that they won't start eligibility for those whose biometrics have not yet been collected? That sounds different from their previous approach where they would continue to do other things on the application in the absence of biometrics.

I have the same status as yours.

My biometric from last 2 years was updated, so no biometric needed.
Medical passed
Eligibility passed
Security passed
Criminality i progress

Please let me know when yours is finalized.
Quick Q, can you share some basic details on your application? AOR, Category, Dependents, etc

Friends, I know of 2 applications who got their PR approved(pre-covid) without being issued the BIL at all. Are you guys aware of any such cases?

Case 1. PA was CEC-PNP, never gave bio for previous applications to Canada, did not get the BIL at all, spouse was issued a BIL and had to give bio. PR approved in Mar20.
Case 2. PA was CEC, got the BIL with instructions to provide bio in US (luckily had B1), spouse never gave bio for previous application to Canada but was not issued a BIL and did not have to give bio. PR approved in Mar20. (both PA and spouse were in US with H1 before moving to Canada)

Guys I need your inputs, I received an email this week from the responsible office who works on my file saying “Your Application is being sent to an Officer for Review Of Finalization”, I called the client support centre agent couple of times they said my CRIMINALITY is NOT YET STARTED but in my GCMS Notes that I ordered it states in the note CRIMINALITY - IN PROGRESS. Im inside Canada

Eligibility - Passed
Medical - Passed
Security - Passed

Criminality says by the agent not yet started.

I also talked to a IRCC Agent she says the officer put a note in my file “FINAL REVIEW”

But Im worried about my criminality checks. Why my file is now in Final Review without assessment of my Criminality.

Guys I meed your insight. Thank you.

I can only answer for #1 the biometric requirement for inland applicants only started in 3 December 2019, if your friend’s AOR is before December 2019, that would explain why he didn’t get BIL. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2019/12/canada-makes-it-easier-for-foreign-nationals-to-apply-for-temporary-and-permanent-resident-status-within-canada.html
