Hi Members,

I have a question on using the LMIA exempt job offer. I'm currently working in Canada (ICT) on work permit and completed one year in Canada. I will be claiming 50 points for the LMIA exempt job offer that my employer will be providing me.

In case if I get my ITA and submit the PR application, it would be taking a minimum of 6 to 9 months to be processed. During this time frame while my PR application is in process, if I had to return to India, will that affect my PR application which is already in progress?

Is your employer also giving you a letter stating that they will continue to employ you in this role for at least one year after you become a PR?
