Have you replied to this mail? Are you going to make bookings and give them the details?Do you have any job offer letter?
Not yet. We received the request today so we are preparing the necessary documents needed as proof to email back.
I will not make bookings until after I’ve received the ETA. In the request it says:
Do you have a proposed and feasible travel plan with a single transit point to Canada? (If yes, attach proof such as plane tickets.) If not, are you willing to book and confirm such travel plans as soon as approved?
So to me this reads that it’s not mandatory to show bookings as proof, so long as you state that you are ready and willing to book as soon as approved. But in all honesty I’m not sure what to do, if I should book now or wait. Dealing with airlines right now is such a hassle and it was so hard getting a refund back on our first cancelled flight. If anyone can advise it would be a great help.
As for job offer, thankfully my husband does have a job offer so we will be submitting that. But it’s not mandatory that you have a job offer before traveling. Especially for those being sponsored to come to Canada. The documents/information they’ve listed are just examples of what proof you can provide that you plan on settling in Canada.

Hey Guys,

My wife just received this email from IRCC.IN-RROC-CORR-RI.IRCC@cic.gc.ca for document request. She is in India right now. COPR before 18th March. And I have a few questions hoping someone could answer.
1-Has anyone else out there from India received this sort of email? Also is this email from New Delhi or Canada? I can't really tell.
2-For proof of plan in canada- I can provide my canadian address but I don't have a lease agreement, so Should I just give them my home address?
3-Proof of Funds- Does she need to provide this? as I am the sponsor and I will be taking care of everything once she gets here.

I really appreciate all the help, thank you!

Thank you for contacting IRCC regarding your expired/expiring Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR) and/or Permanent Resident Visa (PRV) and those of your accompanying dependent family members.

We are responding to your Webform request where you self-identified as being a holder of a CoPR and PRV issued on or before March 18, 2020. In order for us to assess and respond to your request, we require additional information for you and any accompanying family members included on your application.

Please reply to this email by providing the information/documents requested.

Answer the following questions:

1. Are you and any accompanying family members ready to travel to Canada within the next 60 days, to settle and become a permanent resident?

2. Is there any reason preventing you or your accompanying family members from departing your current location to travel to Canada within the next 60 days?

3. Are you able to book a flight to Canada from your current location for yourself and your accompanying family members?

4. Do you have a proposed and feasible travel plan with a single transit point to Canada? (If yes, attach proof such as plane tickets.) If not, are you willing to book and confirm such travel plans as soon as approved?

Attach documents/information to demonstrate the following:

· Proof of your plan to settle and remain in Canada such as;

o address where you will stay,

o lease agreement,

o home ownership document,

o employment plans in Canada (location of work, letter from employer), and

o any other relevant information to demonstrate arrangements for your arrival.

· Proof of an acceptable plan to quarantine for 14 days in Canada, including;

o proof of funds (bank or credit card statements), and

o plan to show how you will obtain groceries, access medical care and other essential services.
When did you send the web form request? I am in a similar situation and sent the request on August 11. Customer care forwarded it to IRCC but no response received yet. Can you please also advise how to send the request to NVDO?

Thanks for detailed response.yes it makes no sense in making bookings but I think it will make your case stronger.one person had booked tickets and sent them.He got eta just few days before his flight. He was not from India.I have already attached documents like medical insurance,my pof,my sons college admission offer, and old one way ticket to prove I am going for permanent settlement.Hope they dont ask for anything else.Do you know of anyone who has no one in Canada but has got such mail?

A one way booked ticket is definitely more proof of how serious you are about settling but I’m not sure if we are willing to take such a gamble. Especially considering I have no idea how long it takes them to send the ETA after responding to their request.
I’m hoping all the other support documents are enough to prove my husband’s intention of permanent settlement and readiness to travel.
It seems as though earlier on a lot of people from European VOs had received their CoPR extensions for up to a year before they introduced this whole ETA process, and I think they were issuing the extensions based on which CoPRs were expired first and not based on family reunification.
I think, with this new process, they are focusing on family reunification cases, such as Spousal Sponsorship, first. But I could be completely wrong. It’s honestly been a guessing game throughout this entire ordeal.
There is such a tremendous lack of information that it’s hard to gage what IRCC is doing, how, and why, and most importantly when.

Well, they have clearly mentioned on twitter not to book or finalise your travel until we receive a AL from them . And I guess each country's VO has been instructed differently regarding protocols on issuing AL or extension by Ottawa office.

And for everyone who is posting their experience or a detailed summary of a post, Please mention your VO so that people who are reading through can understand the context better. Canada high commission in India and other countries twitter handles are posting its different regulations.

Thanks for your response. How long they took to come back to you? When did you send the web form? I submitted it on August 11 and still haven’t heard back anything.

I know it's risky to invest more money in tickets unless any valid docs are issued by ndvo .There is no transparency.NDVO are not even easily available on phone.
